How Oklahoma taxes your paycheck in 2026
Oklahoma withholds nothing on the first $10,100 of a single person's yearly wages ($20,200 married), after $1,000 for each allowance. Above that, rates run from 2.5% up to 4.5%. There are no local income taxes and no employee payroll taxes beyond federal ones.

- A traditional 401(k) lowers your Oklahoma taxable wages; pre-tax health premiums do.

What this calculator simplifies
- This follows Oklahoma's 2026 withholding tables, which estimate the year's tax. Your return can differ.
- Allowances: we assume 1 for you, 1 more for a spouse if married, and 1 per dependent ($1,000 each). Your Form OK-W-4 may claim a different number.
- Head of household is withheld on the single table, because the tables have only single and married columns.
- The tables' starting points ($10,100 single, $20,200 married) work like a standard deduction: nothing is withheld below them.
- 401(k) contributions and pre-tax health premiums come out before Oklahoma tax, because Oklahoma starts from federal adjusted gross income.
